When is it happening?

Advertising Week APAC will take place on August 18th and 19th at the Sydney Masonic Centre.

What can we look forward to at the event this year?

After a gap year, Advertising Week APAC returns in 2021. The event will unite the advertising community face to face, while offering best in class thought leadership to the widest possible audience virtually. It promises to be a celebration of brand excellence complete with much-sought after opportunities for live networking.

What are the key themes at Advertising Week APAC in 2021?

The event will feature five distinct tracks.

  • The Studio – which plays host to our Great Minds keynote series
  • The Tech Lab – where we will dive into the future of AdTech and Martech
  • The Creative Showcase – home to maestros of entertainment, media, creativity and gaming
  • The Innovation Factory – which showcases the work of the savviest marketers and disruptors
  • The Channel – a virtual stage that will feature both local and international thought leaders

What format will the event take?

Live sessions and panels on stage will be interspersed with live virtual interviews with global industry heavyweights. Standard sessions will last 30 minutes and there will be five to 10 minutes breaks in between.

For example, a day could commence with a live panel on stage, followed by a live chat with someone based in San Francisco, then a live panel session, and a live interview with someone in Los Angeles, before a fireside chat.

This will ensure the usual high level marketers, creative legends, and big celebrity names from around the globe will feature – even if travel to our shores isn’t possible this year.

What is the core purpose of Advertising Week APAC and what will delegates get out of attending?

Advertising Week APAC is purpose-built to bring the marketing, media, technology, and creative industries together to drive change. The event provides unrivaled content with skill-building presentations, inspiring keynotes, and thought-provoking debates. In short, delegates will gain the tools and insights needed to elevate their careers.

Delegates will also gain access to Advertising Week’s rich array of assets, including learning paths, trends reports and bespoke podcasts.

There will also be signature special events. Thought leadership breakfasts, bespoke lunches and VIP dinners will all return, along with ample networking opportunities.

What restrictions and safety measures will be in place?

Advertising Week APAC is planning a safe return with a hybrid event in 2021. This year, as ever, the safety and comfort of delegates, partners, speakers and staff will be a top priority.

In order to provide as safe an experience as possible for our attendees, Advertising Week APAC is utilising a new venue. The Sydney Masonic Centre holds fewer people than previous venue Luna Park, while still providing safe and intimate access to the sessions.

The Sydney Masonic Centre is certified as a COVID-safe venue, and the event organisers will be in close contact with The City of Sydney and NSW Health prior to and during the event. Flexibility is being built into event planning to ensure decisions can be made quickly should restrictions tighten.
