Her name translates to \u201cone with good vision or judgment\u201d in the Khasi language typically spoken in northeast India. The mascot represents \u201cNari Shakti,\u201d which derived from Sanskrit translates to \u201cwomen power.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ibha is a strong, playful, and charming Asiatic lioness. She aims to inspire and encourage women and girls by using teamwork, perseverance, kindness, and empowering others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CU4l_zzqi92\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/fifau17f.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14165\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the official mascot launch, FIFA created a video where five athletic kids go on a quest to find Ibha. They must work together using clues and displaying acts of kindness to find the mascot. Pawprint by pawprint, they finally discover and get the chance to play sports with Ibha!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/ibha_fifa_2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14155\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIbha is a really exciting and inspiring character, one that young fans across India and around the world will have huge fun enjoying and interacting with in the lead-up to the FIFA U-17 Women\u2019s World Cup in India next year,\u201d said Sarai Bareman, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fifa.com\/media-releases\/official-mascot-revealed-for-fifa-u17-womens-world-cup-india-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FIFA Chief Women\u2019s Football Officer<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Watch the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 starting November 21, 2022, through December 17, 2022.
