Their mockumentary \u201cThe Remaking of The Mash: A Monster Miracle\u201d is a tell-all about the monster supergroup as they remake their musical hit \u201cThe Monster Mash.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-the-remaking-of-the-mash-a-monster-miracle\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u201cThe Remaking of The Mash: A Monster Miracle\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/boo_berry.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13465\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new video slyly nods to classic VH1 style \u201cBehind the Music\u201d specials about iconic bands that break up or fall apart due to creative differences. Early on, electric guitarist Boo Berry eagerly explains that the reason why the band is back together is simple. It\u2019s the <a href=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/monster-mash-monster-cereals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Monster Mash<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/franken_berry.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13475\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Monster Mash\u2026 that\u2019s Monster culture,\u201d says bassist Franken Berry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/count_chocula.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13466\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLook at it this way. Santa Claus, that guy has like what 80 songs?\u201d Count Chocula, lead singer and keyboardist, points out. \u201cMeanwhile, us Monsters get one. It\u2019s not fair.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/frute_brute.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13467\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drummer Frute Brute, rarely seen on camera, agrees with the fellow Monsters, \u201cThe Monster Mash didn\u2019t just capture the Monster zeitgeist. It became the song of a generation!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/trix_rabbit.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13472\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other fans of the song are interviewed throughout the mockumentary to share their take on \u201cThe Monster Mash.\u201d Some include musician Travis Barker, longtime Monsters assistant Melissa Wood, and the Trix Rabbit, all of whom agree that the jam is a universal hit with everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-reuniting-with-yummy-mummy\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reuniting with Yummy Mummy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the hardest parts of getting the band back together? Finding Yummy Mummy to get on the tambourine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe made a few calls, shook a few sarcophagus\u2026\u201d Boo Berry says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/yummy_mummy_postcard.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13479\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eventually, the spooktacular icons found their final Monster band member vacationing in Cabo San Lucas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/yummy_mummy.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13478\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt reminds me of home. Which is Malibu. It\u2019s a nice place.\u201d Yummy Mummy explains, making a relaxed if seldom seen appearance on screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-recording-the-monster-mash\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Recording \u201cThe Monster Mash\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the Monsters had seen each other here and there over the years, it had been decades since they were all in one room together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/monster_cereals_3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13470\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Producer Joe P., AKA \u201cThe Monster Whisperer,\u201d says that while the band will never admit it, they were nervous about making the record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What if the record flopped? Half the band is immortal.
