The teaser trailer gave us a glimpse at a gender reveal party gone wrong, but the beloved M&amp;M\u2019S spokescandies promise they would fix it. In \u201cCome Together,\u201d the candy brand\u2019s Super Bowl LV commercial, ordinary people and actor Dan Levy show the world how M&amp;M\u2019S can make any situation better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-come-together\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u201cCome Together\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/MMS_Super_Bowl_Hero_Image_Press_Release.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12796\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 15 second spot from BBDO New York shows how gifting M&amp;M\u2019S can make relatable \u201coops, my bad\u201d situations a whole lot better. But one can\u2019t ride off the deliciousness of M&amp;M\u2019S alone. There should be a sincere apology included, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI feel bad for kicking your seat on purpose,\u201d an airplane passenger tells another passenger he kicked the seat of during a flight. (Subsequently causing a beverage to spill all over said passenger.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe should have just told you it\u2019s a boy,\u201d a pregnant person admits to guests in the aftermath of the teaser\u2019s explosive gender reveal party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI wish you didn\u2019t have to hear all that,\u201d a parishioner at a Catholic church mumbles to a priest while passing over a bag of M&amp;M\u2019S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI promise I will not eat any more of your friends!\u201d <em>Schitt\u2019s Creek<\/em> actor Dan Levy insists, as he pushes a half-eaten bag of M&amp;M\u2019S across the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/mms_green_brown_super_bowl_LV.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12794\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, Green and Ms. Brown, the other two M&amp;M\u2019S spokescandies featured in the commercial, aren\u2019t buying Levy\u2019s apology. Unlike the other examples, Levy is gifting them with an already opened M&amp;M\u2019S bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cReally?\u201d Green deadpans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/mms_red_super_bowl_LV.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12795\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Screams erupt from a car behind the trio. It\u2019s Red, locked in Levy\u2019s car. He\u2019s pounding on the windows and begging to be let out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOkay, it might happen one more time,\u201d Levy admits.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/j7pM4HUTkfc\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/j7pM4HUTkfc<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is Levy\u2019s first appearance in an M&amp;M\u2019S commercial. We like to think it\u2019s the start of a beautiful friendship between the actor and the spokescandies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I always try to take part in well-intentioned campaigns with brands that align with my sense of humor, so this ad was a perfect fit,&#8221; said Levy regarding his appearance in the spot. &#8220;One of the things I loved most about this campaign was the message about how something small \u2013 like sharing M&amp;M&#8217;S \u2013 can help bring people together.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a year as unprecedented as 2020, coming together is essential in the next normal. How that might look remains to be seen, but something tells me that laughter and M&amp;M\u2019S will help us collectively get there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;M&amp;M&#8217;S is a fun and colorful brand \u2013 so tapping into that humor to help us laugh and feel more connected to each other felt very right this year,&#8221; said Sarah Long, Chief Marketing Officer, Mars Wrigley North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Of course, having Dan bring his incredible talent and comedic wit only makes the story stronger.
