These spots feature the sales squad participating in everyone\u2019s favorite WFH activity: video conference calls!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How does each call pan out for our favorite insurance spokespeople? Let\u2019s watch (and totally feel) their relatable mishaps together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-role-play\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u201cRole Play\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/TvHm9ccW8-w\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/TvHm9ccW8-w<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Progressive\u2019s Flo, Jamie, Mara, Alan, Rodney, and Lucy have all dialed in to this video call. Flo kicks off the call with a group role play activity. Jamie will be the sales rep and Mara will be the customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jamie, always <a href=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/progressives-big-jim-is-here-to-save-the-day-kind-of\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">enthusiastic about Progressive\u2019s offerings<\/a>, asks Mara if she would be interested in bundling her home and auto insurance with Progressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo,\u201d Mara replies in a deadpan, disinterested tone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, you could save money!\u201d Jamie insists, sticking to his sales pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mara combats by saying she\u2019s actually an independently wealthy customer. Okay\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jamie, undeterred, announces that bundling Mara\u2019s insurance gives her round the clock protection. But, Mara is quick to reply that her customer persona has a bodyguard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With 15 seconds left in the spot, Jamie declares Mara\u2019s customer is simply too unrealistic to work with. However, the rest of the team jumps in with swift feedback ranging from Jamie \u201cnot really selling it\u201d to Lucy declaring it was just a \u201creally bad\u201d interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fresh out of options, Jamie attempts to pivot to reach the youth with a rap song. The twenty years too late flow is clearly coming from off the top of the dome. Immediately, everyone on the team discourages Jamie\u2019s rap. Let\u2019s try this again in another video call, shall we?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-tech-issues\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u201cTech Issues\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/XIhuNFv_P8U\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/XIhuNFv_P8U<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What\u2019s a videoconference call without tech issues? Each member of the Progressive team grapples with a unique tech issue that makes it difficult to connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jamie: Falls victim to blurry screens and cuts out on videos frequently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alan: Uses this time to vacuum, needs to go on mute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flo: Struggles to connect to WiFi, find the right video lens to look into so we can see her face, not a close-up of her lips.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The end of the video has cleared up only one issue. The typo on Progressive\u2019s Insurance slide seven reads \u201cbig discosnouts.\u201d It should be \u201cdiscounts\u201d for customers that bundle and save on home and auto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou sure about that?\u201d Mara deadpans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hey, at least one thing\u2019s clear. It\u2019s still easy to save with Progressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-mara-unmuted\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u201cMara Unmuted\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/MLdAfEAOK8E\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/MLdAfEAOK8E<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This videoconference would easily have been Progressive\u2019s most successful call yet. If only Mara had used the mute button!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking to someone off-camera, Mara shares she\u2019s free once she\u2019s done with this meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYeah Jamie\u2019s the guy running it,\u201d Mara continues, still unaware her mute button is on, \u201cI once had to fake jury duty to get out of talking about his yogurt preferences.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yikes! Flo quickly reminds Mara that she is not on mute. Mara is surprised to learn that there\u2019s even a mute button at all on these platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She appears to turn on mute, but it doesn\u2019t really work. The gang hears Mara telling her off-screen pal that the person speaking is indeed Flo \u2014 the person who looks like she smiles when she sleeps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI always smile,\u201d Flo replies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat\u2019s why I said that,\u201d Mara says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The truth presumably sets you free, but pro tip? Next time Mara\u2026 please mute the call.
