If you watched the commercials featured during football\u2019s biggest night carefully, you might have spotted more than the rebirth of Mr. Peanut. The Bud Knight, Kool-Aid Man, and even the Hamburglar all made it to Super Bowl 54. Let\u2019s rewind and review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-tide\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tide<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/mPrLiNseyCc\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/mPrLiNseyCc<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who knew The Bud Knight would make his triumphant return to the Super Bowl with the help of laundry detergent? The first of Saatchi &amp; Saatchi New York\u2019s two new Super Bowl spots kicks off with actor Charlie Day\u2019s shirt getting smeared with sauce. He wants to go do his laundry, but actress Emily Hampshire says not now during the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If not now, then when? Later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/tide.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11371\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When is \u201clater\u201d to do laundry? Day seeks the answer from several individuals, including <a href=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/every-brand-mascot-featured-in-super-bowl-53\/\">The Bud Knight<\/a>. Should he do his laundry during the ads? The Bud Knight says no way.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/nUTCZKwUcno\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/nUTCZKwUcno<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the follow-up spot, Day has decided to do his laundry. But later is now earlier, as he steps into the year 1436. The Bud Knight is here, practicing archery, and there\u2019s not a washing machine in sight. It seems the right time to do laundry is always supposed to be\u2026 later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-planters\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Planters<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to Super Bowl LIV, <a href=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/ripeanut-mr-peanut-heroically-sacrifices-life-for-friends-before-super-bowl-liv\/\">Mr. Peanut passed away at 104-years-old<\/a>. He heroically died saving his friends, actors Matt Walsh and Wesley Snipes, after the NUTmobile veered off the highway during a road trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VaynerMedia\u2019s \u201cTribute\u201d revealed the aftermath of Mr. Peanut\u2019s last commercial. The spot opens on Mr. Peanut\u2019s funeral service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/NUTmobile-and-Weinermobile-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11380\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a somber event with few mascots in attendance. The NUTmobile is shown parked outside next to the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. Wesley Snipes gives the eulogy to the legendary legume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Mr.-Clean-and-Kool-Aid-Man.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11381\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Clean comforts a crying Kool-Aid Man. The pitcher\u2019s tears land on Mr. Peanut\u2019s plot of soil. Then, something unusual happens. A plant starts to grow from the dirt.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tribute | Planters | 2020 Big Game Commercial\" width=\"1240\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MoVpgtAJHfU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a peanut plant, of course, and a Baby Nut is born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Baby-Nut-Matt-Wesley-.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11374\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who is Baby Nut? Think Mr. Peanut, junior edition. He\u2019s got the top hat, but no cane or monocle. (Is there a need for it yet? He\u2019s a baby, so probably not.) Baby Nut will likely become BFFs with Baby Yoda, if there\u2019s ever a Planters\/Disney crossover event\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-pringles\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pringles<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/pringles.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11378\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We only get a brief glimpse of Julius Pringles in the Rick and Morty universe, but it\u2019s pretty satisfying. Maybe a little terrifying, too.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/96ELLT17GYQ\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/96ELLT17GYQ<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Produced by ad agency Grey and Adult Swim, the Pringles Big Game spot re-imagines Pringles as the bad guy in a <em>Rick and Morty<\/em> alternate universe. The Pringles brand took Rick, Morty, and Summer while they slept. Now they\u2019re trapped in a Pringles universe and doomed to eternally stack Pringles chips into new flavors until Rick finds a way to get everyone out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-mcdonald-s\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>McDonald\u2019s<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/_bO5mf8MQ7Y\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/_bO5mf8MQ7Y<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities order when they go to McDonald\u2019s? Wieden + Kennedy New York\u2019s McDonald\u2019s spot reveals the \u201cFamous Orders\u201d of some of the world\u2019s biggest stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/mcdonalds.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11379\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s also a blink and you might miss it order from McDonaldland\u2019s own Hamburglar. Looks about right to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-procter-amp-gamble\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Procter &amp; Gamble<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/CvUDuu58zbo\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/CvUDuu58zbo<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pretty much <em>every <\/em>character under the P&amp;G brand comes together to clean a chili spill in this commercial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Except for The Man Your Man Could Smell Like from Old Spice. The signature scent kept this character perfectly dry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bounty Man helps bring in the muscle with his quicker picker upper paper towels. Mr. Clean grabs a mop. One of the Charmin Bears sings instead of cleaning because, well, this kind of clean up doesn\u2019t require toilet paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/procter_gamble-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11382\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen we all come together, it\u2019s amazing what we can do.\u201d That\u2019s the P&amp;G spot\u2019s tagline and also a nice tie-in for the brand mascots that showed up for Super Bowl LIV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks guys!
