Is it one of the spots featuring the Caveman? How about an ad starring Maxwell the Pig? Or, should the accolades go to the ubiquitous Gecko?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After 25 years of debate, GEICO has settled the score with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geico.com\/bestof\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cThe Best Of GEICO\u201d<\/a> collection of their greatest advertising hits. This collection includes the top five GEICO commercials as selected by votes from the fans. Five honorable mentions are also included, and several character campaigns from <a href=\"https:\/\/martinagency.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Martin Agency<\/a> can be spotted throughout the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Counting down, let\u2019s see which spots made the top five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-5-spy\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#5 \u201cSpy\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/mbMuNr4YfSs\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/mbMuNr4YfSs<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This 2015 spot starts off with a spy on a high-stakes mission. Stranded on a rooftop and surrounded by the enemy and a helicopter in hot pursuit, the spy takes the one call that could change everything on his cell phone. It\u2019s\u2026 Mom?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yep, Mom\u2019s calling. She wants to talk about squirrels in the house. Meanwhile, the spy kicks and punches his way out of the situation while trying to keep Mom on the line. A voiceover says what we\u2019re all thinking: Moms call at the worst time. It\u2019s what they do. Switching to GEICO to save 15% or more on car insurance? It\u2019s what <em>you<\/em> do. Good luck explaining your loud \u201cZumba class\u201d in the background to Mom, spy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-4-squirrels\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#4 \u201cSquirrels\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Geico Car Insurance Squirrel Commercial\" width=\"1240\" height=\"930\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/40kPEjZpM8M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">18 years ago, a woodland squirrel heard a car approaching and dashed out into the street. The car swerved to avoid hitting the squirrel. However, we presume that the car gets into an off-camera accident after hearing mild crash noises. The squirrel that started it all meets up with his pal. They do an elaborate hand slap routine together, clearly happy that they were the cause to the mayhem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the GEICO voiceover intones, accidents can happen anytime. Clearly, the squirrels are watching, waiting, and biding their time here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-3-caveman-airport\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#3: Caveman Airport<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2006 - Geico commercial - Caveman at the airport\" width=\"1240\" height=\"930\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/H02iwWCrXew?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Created by Martin Agency, GEICO\u2019s Caveman campaign debuted in 2004. The long-running campaign (and later short-lived TV series) featured Neanderthals circa the early 2000s. They coexisted in our modern world as evolved, intelligent versions of their ancestors. Ads used the tagline \u201cso easy, a caveman could do it\u201d to describe how simple it was to use GEICO\u2019s website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Opening with a nod to <em>The Graduate<\/em>, a modern Caveman arrives to an airport. He sees a sign advertising one of GEICO\u2019s ads starring a stereotypical Caveman. Our modern Caveman\u2019s reaction is punctuated by the lyrics of R\u00f6yksopp\u2019s \u201cRemind Me\u201d playing in the background. <em>Everywhere I go, there\u2019s always something to remind me. Of another place and time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The modern Caveman isn\u2019t upset about the ad. If anything, he seems taken aback at how far they\u2019ve come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-2-maxwell-the-pig\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#2: Maxwell The Pig<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"GEICO Ad: Pig (Piggy)\" width=\"1240\" height=\"930\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BJDni6Bopzo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2010 saw the debut of this very unusual little piggy. Actor Michael McGlone opens the commercial by asking whether switching to GEICO saves 15% or more on car insurance. A comparison is quickly made to the \u2018This Little Piggy\u2019 nursery rhyme. \u201cDid the little piggy cry \u2018wee, wee, wee\u2019 all the way home?\u201d McGlone asks viewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cut to Maxwell The Pig, then the latest GEICO character in the lineup. He\u2019s sticking his head out of the car window. He\u2019s got pinwheels in both hooves. Yes, he\u2019s excitedly saying \u201cWee! Wee! Wee!\u201d all the way home. No, the driver doesn\u2019t exactly share his enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-1-hump-day\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>#1: Hump Day<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"GEICO Hump Day Camel Commercial   Happier than a Camel on Wednesday\" width=\"1240\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7LtjzQaFZ3k?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was the 2013 commercial that launched a thousand GIFs and memes and was a major fan favorite. Voiced by Chris Sullivan, a camel roams an office asking all of his coworkers what day it is. At first, they try to ignore him but eventually break down and admit that it\u2019s Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In SAT terms? Wednesday is to the nickname \u201cHump Day\u201d signifying the \u2018hump\u2019 middle of the week as humps are to camels. Naturally, this camel is thrilled about it.
