This year\u2019s official Christmas advert for Heathrow Airport has debuted from Havas London. And, it stars our iconic duo in a\u2026 tropical climate?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-the-heathrow-bears-return\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&#8220;The Heathrow Bears Return&#8221;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/heathrow_bears_2018.jpg\" alt=\"heathrow_bears_2018\" class=\"wp-image-9799\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.5007751937984497;width:968px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It would appear that the Heathrow Bears, Doris and Edward, might be content with a staycation in 2018. Their Sunny Days Retirement Village home in the Florida Keys comes with a pool and warm, December weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Official Heathrow 2018 Christmas Advert - The Heathrow Bears Return | #HeathrowBears\" width=\"1240\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/s5TkTj7Lqec?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, it\u2019s still not quite the same as going home. There\u2019s only a few presents under a skinny tree, unappetizing frozen dinners in the freezer, and a furry family FaceTiming in from overseas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/heathrow_bears_2018_2.png\" alt=\"heathrow_bears_2018_2\" class=\"wp-image-9796\" style=\"aspect-ratio:2.375;width:855px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Doris and Edward, as it turns out, do miss their family beary much. As Paul Young\u2019s \u201cEverytime You Go Away\u201d plays in the background, the pair pack up, dress warmly, and take a taxi to the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/heathrow_bears_2018_3.png\" alt=\"heathrow_bears_2018_3\" class=\"wp-image-9797\" style=\"aspect-ratio:2.396067415730337;width:853px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They share a mistletoe kiss on the flight over, buy a few gifts at Heathrow Airport upon arrival, and get a ride to their family\u2019s home. As the door shuts behind the bears, the camera pans over to the house\u2019s window. At first glance, they do appear to be nothing more than teddy bears navigating airline terminals amidst human beings.
