The votes are officially in \u2014 on Monday, September 25, 2017; brand mascots celebrated <a href=\"http:\/\/newyork.advertisingweek.com\/walk-of-fame\/\">Advertising Week\u2019s 14th Annual Madison Avenue Walk of Fame<\/a> \u2014 the advertising industry&#8217;s version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame \u2014 by inducting the year&#8217;s most iconic mascots and slogans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">26 characters were nominated this year with many familiar and fresh faces added to the polls. Our winners were the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.energizer.com\/\">Energizer Bunny<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carvel.com\/\">Carvel Ice Cream\u2019s<\/a> Fudgie the Whale. Both icons were ecstatic about their respective wins and even prepped their own acceptance speeches!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CarvelIceCream\">Fudgie the Whale<\/a>, who has been the face of Carvel since 1977 and turned 40 this year, the win was truly an unexpected delight. \u201cWhat a nail biter! I\u2019m so honored be inducted into Advertising Week\u2019s Madison Avenue Walk of Fame alongside the Energizer Bunny. I would like to thank all my fans who voted for me and I hope we can celebrate soon!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pink <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Energizer\">Energizer Bunny<\/a> accepted his award by bringing his signature cool to the stage with his flip flops, sunglasses, and carrying a drum that never stops beating. On his behalf, the Energizer team shared this statement. \u201cGenerations of consumers have grown up with the Energizer Bunny\u2019s unstoppable power and his will to \u2018Keep Going and Going.\u2019 We\u2019re thrilled that Advertising Week has named him as one of their icons of the year and know he\u2019ll be a fan favorite for generations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the winning mascots, BMW\u2019s \u201cThe Ultimate Driving Machine\u201d and Frosted Flakes \u201cThey&#8217;re Gr-r-reat!\u201d took home honors and were inducted as the year\u2019s slogans out of a pool of 26 nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congratulations to this year\u2019s winners \u2014 be sure to cheer on their wins via social media!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Heather Taylor Drumroll, please!
