On Monday September 26, 2016, brand mascots celebrated&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/newyork.advertisingweek.com\/walk-of-fame\/\">Advertising Week\u2019s 13th Annual Madison Avenue Walk of Fame<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014 the advertising industry&#8217;s version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame \u2014 by inducting the year&#8217;s most iconic mascots and slogans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/nfl\">Cleatus the FOX Sports Robot<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/main\/conservationeducation\/smokey-woodsy\/woodsy-owl\">Woodsy Owl<\/a>&nbsp;were announced as this year\u2019s winning mascots from a lineup of 26 nominees. Over 60,000 votes were cast online, making it the most successful voting year in Advertising Week history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/advertisingweek.com\/images\/userfiles\/files\/winners.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joining the honored winners in attendance at Nasdaq\u2019s Closing Bell were several other ad icons including Charlie the Tuna, Little Caesar, Vince and Larry Crash Test Dummies, The Laughing Cow, Sugar Bear, Chester Cheetah, The Nesquik Bunny, Horatio Magellan Crunch, Kool-Aid Man, Vlasic Stork, Pillsbury Doughboy, Mr. Peanut, Serta Counting Sheep, Travelocity Roaming Gnome, ICEE Bear, Slush Puppie, Rooty the Great Root Bear, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the winning mascots, Sprite also took home honors with \u201cObey your thirst\u201d inducted as the year\u2019s slogan out of a pool of 26 brand slogan nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congratulations to this year\u2019s winners and thanks to one and all for rocking the brand mascot vote!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The votes are in, the polls have closed, and Decision 2016 has been made!
