She\u2019s described as being down to earth and in awe of the transforming world around her. Tina loves to go to concerts and live shows and to experience big events. Her catchphrase is \u201cDream big!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Milo, with the brown coat, is the resilient Paralympic mascot. If you look closely, you\u2019ll notice that Milo was born without one of his paws. As his character narrative goes, Milo learned how to walk using his tail. He loves to play in the snow and play practical jokes. Milo\u2019s catchphrase is \u201cObstacles are trampolines.\u201d Did we tell you he excels at <em>inventing<\/em> musical instruments?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where Did The Names Of The 2026 Winter Olympic Mascots Come From?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2026 Winter Olympic Italian host cities are their namesakes. Tina is short for Cortina and Milo for Milano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hey, Are There More Mascots Hanging Out With Tina and Milo?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Milano_Cortina_2026_mascots_tina_milo.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Down by Tina and Milo\u2019s paws are six small, animated characters. These are not mascots proper, but rather they are \u201cThe Flo.\u201d These six little snowdrops are good friends with Tina and Milo and will be along for the ride during Milano Cortina 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who Designed The 2026 Winter Olympic Mascots?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Primary and secondary students were invited to submit drawings of ideas for the 2026 Winter Olympic mascots in a nationwide competition. More than 1,600 entries submitted to the Milano Cortina 2026 Organising Committee and the Italian Ministry of Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/2026_winter_olympic_sketches.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The idea and design for two super sporty stoats came from students at the Istituto Comprensivo of Taverna. Another design entry was submitted by students at the Istituto Comprensivo Sabin of Segrate for the \u201cThe Flo\u201d characters. In their earliest iterations, The Flo were an edelweiss and a snowdrop that were journeying together from the mountains to the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both designs were shortlisted, and an <a href=\"https:\/\/olympics.com\/en\/news\/milano-cortina-2026-public-poll-official-mascots-sanremo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online poll<\/a> was launched by Milano Cortina 2026 during the Sanremo Music Festival. The two sibling stouts were chosen as the mascots and the two flowers budded to become their friends The Flo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Get Ready for The 2026 Winter Olympics!<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s plenty more to come from Tina, Milo, The Flo, and Milano Cortina 2026.
