Who knew the Goodyear Blimp was besties with so many famous faces?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Which Brand Mascots Came To the Goodyear Blimp&rsquo;s 100<sup>th<\/sup> Birthday?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the purposes of this piece, we won\u2019t be including characters like the Teletubbies or JJ from CoComelon. (PopIcon considers those to be TV characters rather than brand mascots.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DKcdA_RxnPZ\/?hl=en<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hanging at the Hangar were Duolingo\u2019s own Duo, Dr. Squatch, Scrub Daddy, the Wendy\u2019s Frosty, the Kool Aid Man, OLIPOP, and OREO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DKc0V_UB25d\/?hl=en<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The characters made their entrances under a silver balloon arch, posed for photos, got up on stage to do karaoke, and even did a massive conga line together. We really hope all these mascots call in, ahem, \u201csick\u201d tomorrow and take the hump day off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Goodyear Blimp\u2019s website, the first Goodyear Blimp was Goodyear\u2019s Pilgrim which was built in 1925. The blimp was noteworthy in that it was the first commercial, non-rigid airship that was flown using helium. The other two members of the fleet were the airships Columbia and Resolute, built in 1931 and 1932 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As mentioned up top, the three Goodyear Blimps that took flight on June 3 are rarely seen together as a trio. They spend most of their time stationed in California, Florida, and Ohio \u2014 but an 100<sup>th<\/sup> birthday calls for a reunion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/popicon.life\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Blimp_Mascot_Party_52-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Happy birthday to the Goodyear Blimp! 100 looks good on you!
