It is no secret that traditionally, the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity has exhibited a lack of diversity. So, in 2022, Group Black set out on a mission to change that. And 2023, they returned to the festival on a mission to bring even more inclusivity to the beach than ever before.
In partnership with Inkwell Beach, Group Black programmed activations, thought leadership opportunities and networking tent poles that brought solution-oriented inclusive programming to the festival. Directly aligning with the goal to dramatically change the face of media ownership and investment, Group Black’s impact at Cannes was felt and will continue to foster and create a sense of belonging that celebrates the richness of Black culture in its many facets.
