Group Black Impact Report

Group Black is the largest collective of diverse owned media on a mission to change the face of media ownership and investment. This first Impact Report describes the progress we’ve made towards that mission across a range of stakeholders from the period of June 2022 to June 2023.
In January 2023, during the height of a challenging economic climate, our insights pointed us towards one idea that would be the guiding light for our communications and strategies: GROWTH. After taking a closer look, we chose two areas to hone in on: 1) tapping into underserved communities who have been alienated or ignored by traditional marketing tactics; 2) unleashing the power of authentic Black voices. With these two tactics in mind, we focused our resources and can now proudly share the results with Black-owned media platforms, clients and consumers alike.
This Impact Report provides a top-line overview on the effectiveness of our focus on growth. Through our work we’ve been able to see results such as:
- Our Collective is growing to become the largest in the US marketing industry.
- Ad spend allocation for multicultural doubling.
- Increased amount of Black creators partnering with top brands equitably.
For a closer look at these results as well as additional ones, please see the report below. If you would like more information on how we’ve made these results happen, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
