History Lesson: 40 Years of TaylorMade Innovation

Carbon is one of the most important materials in the universe. Without it, life on earth wouldn’t exist. With the innovation of the very first carbon-faced driver, Stealth, TaylorMade has created a new use for carbon and a new starting line for the industry.
To celebrate the new driver’s launch, TaylorMade and Zambezi, with the help of three of the top ten players in the world: Collin Morikawa, Dustin Johnson, and Rory McIlroy, take viewers on a VFX-guided tour of the last 40 years of TaylorMade innovation with “History Lesson.” The spot begins with the world’s first metalwood, the Pittsburgh Persimmon, and then passes through the ages of steel and titanium before ultimately revealing TaylorMade’s latest and most breakthrough technology yet: the carbon-faced Stealth driver. A range of real life clubs were used to create the animation.
“History Lesson” was directed by Per-Hampus and comes out of JOJX (Jackson Morton, the son of MJZ founder, Rocky Morton, and Joe Care’s production company).
