Pop-Tarts Sends Three New Edible Mascots — Including a Mystery Flavor — To The Pop-Tarts Bowl

What’s better than one edible mascot? Three edible mascots, according to Pop-Tarts — and we’re in agreement! The Pop-Tarts Bowl is back on December 28, 2024. This time, it’s triple the Crazy Goodness with three new Edible Mascots Game Day-bound.
Meet The New Edible Mascots

Pop-Tarts fans will recall that the first Edible Mascot, Frosted Strawberry, debuted in 2024 (and was shortly consumed thereafter). The project from Weber Shandwick marked the first-ever edible mascot. Frosted Strawberry, RIP, was an instant viral hit in college football and for the Pop-Tarts brand.
Less than a year later, three new mascots are heading to the football field. They include Frosted Wild Berry, a familiar fan favorite with its purple frosting and teal swirl, and Frosted Hot Fudge Sundae, loaded with fudge and icing covered in sprinkles.

The third Edible Mascot is a Mystery Flavor. Nobody knows its identity. We can’t even get a good look since Mystery Flavor is wrapped up in the Pop-Tarts signature silver packaging.
At PopIcon, we have some guesses based off clues found in the Pop-Tarts press release.
What we know: This flavor is discontinued, beloved by fans, and frosted. (The release states there are “three new frosted faces” heading to The Pop-Tarts Bowl.)
Who could the Mystery Flavor be? We “would” place our bets on Frosted Grape, but the formerly discontinued flavor has been back for a while now. And while Peach Cobbler was quietly shelved a few years back, it feels too niche a flavor for the fans to demand back on grocery shelves.
Our guess is Mystery Flavor will be Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. There are almost 2,000 signatures circulating on a Change.org petition to bring it back. And we do love the chaotic nature that is massive wild berry, fudge and cookie dough flavored Pop-Tarts all showing up to be devoured at a college football game.
Keep your eyes peeled to Pop-Tarts social media platforms to see who the Mystery Flavor is in the next few weeks. Catch the 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl live on ABC December 28 at 3:30 PM EST from Orlando’s Camping World Stadium. It’s gonna be Crazy Good!
