Nerf Debuts First Mascot — Murph

It’s Nerf or nothin’! Nerf, the beloved Hasbro toy company, recently debuted its first-ever brand mascot. The character is named Murph and will be a key character in Nerf’s “Unleash the Play in You” summer 2022 campaign.

Who Is Murph?
Murph is a mascot designed to represent the playful spirit that lives inside us all and is unleashed through Nerf toys. The character uses they/them pronouns. Longtime Nerf enthusiasts will notice Murph is made entirely out of foam Nerf darts.

Commercials starring Murph are expected to debut later in June 2022 along with promotional imaging in retail stores and across Nerf’s social media platforms. What can audiences expect? According to Hasbro, we’ll be seeing a mascot that truly embodies the “Unleash the Play in You” campaign tagline and represents ageless, unbridled fun that lives in everyone along with the physical embodiment of that feeling you get when you play with Nerf.

We look forward to seeing them in these spots and throughout the summer as parents and kids get up, get out, get active and make memories together. PS: Murph would be a great nomination (and potential mascot win!) for the upcoming Madison Avenue Walk of Fame later this year!
