- Boomer, sometimes referred to as the “Pacers Panther,” is the cat mascot for the Indiana Pacers.
- Boomer stands at 6 feet tall and wears a #00 Pacers jersey.
- He is considered among the NBA’s most accomplished mascots and attends NBA All-Star Games In addition to Pacers’ home games. Boomer is active in the centra Indiana area and attends local sporting events in the community.
- On June 14, 2020, Boomer was officially inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame via a virtual ceremony.
- The Indiana Pacers have also had other short-lived mascots besides Boomer. A canine named Bowser worked alongside Boomer for eight years before retiring during the 2009 to 2010 season. At select games, another mascot, Mini-Boomer will make occasional appearances and perform with Boomer as his assumed “offspring.”
