I started HyperFinity with 3 mates and a vision to help retailers make better commercial decisions, powered by data science and AI.
Decisions such as what products to sell, who to sell them to, how to sell them and what price to charge.
We’re building the type of company we’d have loved to work for, and to buy from when we were client side.
The bit that really excites me is growing the business. Not the traditional view of growth – just selling stuff – the wider set of things a business needs to do to grow.
Starting with the business strategy, figuring out what products and services to offer, building a team and culture, finding a space to work from, working out how to fund the company, who to partner with, which suppliers to use, and of course, sales and marketing.
We’ve been trading since 2019 and grown significantly. We’ve helped big retailers, such as Asda, Costa, Hotel Chocolat, Beaverbrooks and Freemans solve difficult challenges with data science and AI.
We’ve created a consultancy offering that’s in big demand, and a tech product that democratises access to data science and AI for retailers.
We’ve grown a talented team and a culture they’ll thrive in. Along the way we’ve been recognised by being invited to join well renowned programmes, such as Tech Nation’s Applied AI, and winning awards such as Retail Tech Innovation Hub’s Start-up of the Year.
True validation of our HyperFinity product, business performance and potential for the future came with Snowflake Ventures investing in our company, after we reached the final of their Start-up of the Year Challenge.
I’m proud of what we’ve achieved so far, from a blank sheet of paper. And very excited about the journey to come.
