Advertising Week has joined forces with award-winning marketer Raja Rajamannar, currently president of the World Federation of Advertisers and Mastercard’s chief marketing and communications officer, to launch a new education experience.
Rajamannar teaches a course based on his bestselling book Quantum Marketing, revealing the attitudes and skills that marketers need to succeed in the industry today.
The course is distributed through Advertising Week’s strategic education partner Futurelearn and is the first in a number of courses led by the world’s most accomplished marketers.
“Discover what every marketer needs to know about the future – based on my book Quantum Marketing – and what you need to do to be part of it,” says Rajamannar.
This course is designed for anyone beginning a career in marketing who would like to learn about strategic marketing, as well as those who have switched careers to work in marketing for the first time.
As just 25% of working marketers have a marketing degree, Rajamannar’s views in Quantum Marketing will also be useful to those already working in marketing who want to bring themselves up to date with the latest thinking.
The course covers such areas as how marketers should think about data, artificial intelligence and technology, along with emerging areas such as multisensory marketing and brand purpose. Filled with real-life examples from Rajamannar’s own career, the course helps marketers prepare for the future.
“There is a huge opportunity right now to change the nature of professional education,” says Ruth Mortimer, managing director for global education at Advertising Week. “The course led by Raja Rajamannar matches core marketing skills with real-life application. With the job market globally in flux, this type of education has never been more crucial than right now.”
