- Who is Burnie? Aside from being the official mascot for the Miami Heat, Burnie is an anthropomorphic fireball. He has orange fur, orange “flame” feathers for hair, and a green basketball for a nose. He also wears a Heat jersey with number 0 or 00 for the Heat.
