They said I do! Kevin the Carrot has officially wed his longtime sweetheart, Katie, close to 10 years after they first met.

True to the Aldi UK mascot’s incredibly adventurous nature, their wedding send-off took place in a three-part, jolly good, Christmas finale for the ages. These three adverts spoofed all sorts of beloved pop culture IP, leading to the ride of a lifetime before heading down the aisle.
“What’s On the Cards For Kevin the Carrot This Christmas?”
The first teaser advert was decidedly the most docile setting we’ve ever seen Kevin in. We see Katie at home dashing to get the front door after hearing Kevin’s pet pup, Cauli Dog, barking outside.

Cauli has a diamond ring around his collar. Kevin is just behind him, holding up cards reminiscent of an iconic scene from Love Actually. The first sign proclaims, “To me, you are 24 carat.” The second asks, “Marry Christmas?”
While we don’t see Katie’s reaction to the cards, we do know they get engaged on the spot. Because the second advert fast tracks to a few weeks later during Kevin’s stag do.
“Kevin the Carrot’s Stag Do Has Gone Pear-Shaped!”
Even during his own stag do, Kevin can’t help but end up in a bit of a crisis.
Katie’s at her hen do (a serene spa setting complete with carrot and hen guests in attendance) when she gets a phone call. It’s Kelvin, Kevin’s best man and brother, calling with bad news. They lost Kevin and just before the wedding day, à la The Hangover.
Somehow, Kevin has ended up in the North Pole. Worse yet, he’s in nothing but a mankini (which bears a striking resemblance to the one last seen in Borat) and stag hat as stag deer march around him in the freezing cold.
Suddenly, the Christmas Express train comes to save Kevin. But did the train arrive in time for Kevin to make it to his own wedding?
“It’s a 24 Carat Christmas for Kevin & Katie”
Kevin, as luck would have it, not only made it to his wedding but he even changed into a dapper, leafy suit. Chaos ensues once more as Kelvin receives a call from their “Vegistar” who can’t make it. (You see, he’s a pickle in an actual pickle predicament — stuck inside a pickle jar.)
Will Kevin and Katie still get married? Kevin snaps into action. Of course! They’ve got the ring, the ability to say “I do,” and a jammin’ band as Kevin belts out his vows to Katie.
What’s Next For Kevin and Katie?

We’re hopeful this isn’t the last we’ve heard of Kevin and Katie in Aldi UK Christmas adverts! After 10 years of seeing Kevin light up our screens with his madcap moments, we’re keeping our fingers crossed there are another 10 years (at least) to come for the mascot.
And if Aldi UK ever needs some ideas for future holiday campaigns, we’ve got ‘em! How about a Wicked or A Wizard of Oz parody? (After all, there are endless opportunities to use colorful vegetables in both settings.)
