Meet Tina and Milo, Official Mascots For The 2026 Winter Olympics

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games may be over, but in two short years it will be time for the start of the 2026 Winter Olympics, or Milano Cortina 2026. Hosted by Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italy, registration is now open on the ticketing platform for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

And even though there’s still 500+ days to go until the Winter Games begin, PopIcon is delighted to share a little more information about the Milano Cortina 2026 mascots: Tina and Milo!

Who Are Tina And Milo, The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Mascots?

Tina and Milo are stoat siblings that each represent the Olympic Winter Games and the Paralympic Games 2026.

Tina, with the white coat, is the highly creative Olympic mascot. She’s described as being down to earth and in awe of the transforming world around her. Tina loves to go to concerts and live shows and to experience big events. Her catchphrase is “Dream big!”

Milo, with the brown coat, is the resilient Paralympic mascot. If you look closely, you’ll notice that Milo was born without one of his paws. As his character narrative goes, Milo learned how to walk using his tail. He loves to play in the snow and play practical jokes. Milo’s catchphrase is “Obstacles are trampolines.” Did we tell you he excels at inventing musical instruments?

Where Did The Names Of The 2026 Winter Olympic Mascots Come From?

The 2026 Winter Olympic Italian host cities are their namesakes. Tina is short for Cortina and Milo for Milano.

Hey, Are There More Mascots Hanging Out With Tina and Milo?

Down by Tina and Milo’s paws are six small, animated characters. These are not mascots proper, but rather they are “The Flo.” These six little snowdrops are good friends with Tina and Milo and will be along for the ride during Milano Cortina 2026.

Who Designed The 2026 Winter Olympic Mascots?

Primary and secondary students were invited to submit drawings of ideas for the 2026 Winter Olympic mascots in a nationwide competition. More than 1,600 entries submitted to the Milano Cortina 2026 Organising Committee and the Italian Ministry of Education.

The idea and design for two super sporty stoats came from students at the Istituto Comprensivo of Taverna. Another design entry was submitted by students at the Istituto Comprensivo Sabin of Segrate for the “The Flo” characters. In their earliest iterations, The Flo were an edelweiss and a snowdrop that were journeying together from the mountains to the city.

Both designs were shortlisted, and an online poll was launched by Milano Cortina 2026 during the Sanremo Music Festival. The two sibling stouts were chosen as the mascots and the two flowers budded to become their friends The Flo.

Get Ready for The 2026 Winter Olympics!

There’s plenty more to come from Tina, Milo, The Flo, and Milano Cortina 2026. We’ll see you February 6 through February 22, 2026.

Until then, stay connected on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok for more updates. Arrivederci for now!
